There have been many impressive goalscoring performances in European football this season, but which player has scored the most?
According to UEFA's ranking of club competitions, the top 10 ranked leagues are:
In Spain, Lionel Messi sits top of the pile having scored 29 goals, which averages out to a goal for every 93 league minutes he has played this season, while team-mate Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo have both netted 23, with Ronaldo registering a slightly better average time per goal with 91 minutes.
The English Premier League's top goal scorer is Liverpool's Mohammed Salah with 30 goals. Salah has had the season of his career since signing for the Anfield club in the summer, and averages a goal every 86 minutes in the league. Harry Kane comes next with 26 goals, while Sergio Aguero has 21 for the new Premier League champions, Manchester City.
Lazio's Ciro Immobile has struck 27 goals in Serie A to be their top scorer, while Mauro Icardi sits on 25 goals and Juventus' Paulo Dybala has 21, with an average of a goal every 92 minutes.
In Germany, Robert Lewandowski has netted 27 goals at an incredible average of one every 73 minutes. He has been a key part to the Bayern Munich side that were crowned champions. He has almost double the goals of any other player, with Kevin Volland sitting on 14, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who joined Arsenal in January, third with 13 goals.
Paris St Germain have dominated Ligue 1 this season and secured the title with a 7-1 demolition of Monaco at the weekend. Their striker Edinson Cavani is the league's top scorer with 27, with team-mate Neymar bagging 19 in his first season with the club.
Lokomotiv Moscow are five points clear at the top of the Russian Premier League, with rivals Spartak sitting in second. Dutchman Quincy Promes is their top scorer with 14 goals, while Fyodor Smolov of Krasnodar has 12 goals.
Five points separate Porto at the top and Sporting Lisbon in third in Portugal's Primeira Liga with four rounds left to go. Benfica striker Jonas has had a fantastic season, registering 33 goals at an astonishing 72 minutes per goal, with Bas Dost striking 25 goals.
20 goals from Argentinean Facundo Ferreyra has helped Shakhtar Donetsk sit top of the table, with team-mate Marlos chipping in with 14. The next top scorer is 20-year-old Viktor Tsygankov from Dynamo Kiev, who has scored 12.
Kortrijk striker Teddy Chevalier sits top of Belgium's Pro League goalscoring chart, netting 18 goals in 34 appearances. His nearest rivals are Hamdi Harbaoui, who has scored seven goals in his last two gamees, and Isaac Thelin, who have both registered 14 goals.
Finally, in the Turkish league, Galatasaray striker Bafetimbi Gomis has scored 26 goals to help his side sit one point clear at the top of the Super Lig with five games left to play. Burak Yilmaz has netted 22 for Trabzonspor, who sit in fifth.
