Wimbledon: Federer to cruise into the last 64 against Dolgopolov

Alexandr Dolgopolov has the tough task of coming up against Roger Federer in their round of 128 match on Tuesday morning.

Federer has a 100% record against the Ukrainian, who he has faced-off against three times before.

Seven years Federer’s junior, Dolgopolov is ranked 84th in the world and has three career titles, compared to the Swiss’ impressive tally of 92.

Federer’s decorated career so far has seen him rack up 1104 wins and just 247 losses. The ratio is in stark contrast to his opponent’s figures of 199 wins to 184 losses.

The prolific Swiss will be chasing an eighth Wimbledon championship and I think it is fair to say there is no reason why this match will prove to be a stumbling block in this latest pursuit of his.

It is no secret that Federer is a firm favourite with the majority of tennis crowds and he will be able to draw further motivation from the warm support he always receives from the SW19 spectators as the tournament progresses.

I have no choice but to back Federer to prevail against Dolgopolov at a very short 1.02 with Sportsbet.io
