Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov face-off on the first day of the second week at SW19 in one of the day’s most attractive fixtures.
Despite winning his run-in against Mischa Zvarev 3-0 on Saturday, Federer faced a few obstacles along the way, dropping 14 games throughout the course of the match.
Now facing Dimitrov, who was ranked 11th going into the competition, I imagine the Swiss, who has not yet been operating in top gear, will look to turn up the heat.

Dimitrov should be feeling relatively fresh, with his third-round match against Dudi Sela lasting just 60 minutes before the Israeli chose to retire going into the final set with a leg injury, whilst 6-1, 6-1 down to the Bulgarian.
Having had a career-high ranking of 8th and making the Wimbledon semi-finals in 2014 aged just 23, Dimitrov will surely not be underestimated his decorated opponent, with nearly a decade’s age difference between them.
However, the wealth of experience and titles garnered by Federer should see the Wimbledon crowd favourite into the quarter-finals.
