Coach Smith praises Josh Rosen’s grit
Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith has a lot of praise for Josh Rosen as the QB impressed in his games with the team. This is a great opportunity for Rosen to prove that he can still lead the way for an NFL team after being taken out of four other teams.
Josh’s career has been as tough as it could be. The star had a lot of chances in his run to establish his place as a clear starting QB over the years only to mess it up with poor stretches and injuries as well. That kept him from coming up with his full potential in the game.
The former UCLA star was picked in the first round but is yet to leave his mark in the game. Less than a week after inking a deal with the Falcons, Josh showed that he can still spark a win for his team.
Josh had nine passes for 118 yards and had a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns. Those are flashes of his big plays that are similar to his early days as a young rookie who had a lot of potential to show in the game.
Smith did not hold back in his words and said that Josh was able to come up with the best of his game so far.
‘I thought Josh handled it pretty well’, the Falcons coach said. ‘Coming into a short week, he's been in several systems, a very smart football player. We had a package for him in the game plan; he handled it well. I thought he showed his arm talent tonight. Again, I thought he did a nice job overall’.
For starters, Josh has found the right fit after so many years of short runs in the NFL. It was a tough stretch for the QB and it took some time for him to show that he can also come up with the best of his game so far.
Josh may have just landed with a club that can stick with him through his ups and downs.
