Tampa Bay eke out a close 31-29 win against the Cowboys

The classic Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski duo were once again the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ saviours. They led the way for the riveting 31-29 win against the plucky Dallas Cowboys squad. The ‘Tommy and Gronky’ show was on full display as they combined for two touchdowns.

Over the past decade, people have seen greatness from the Brady and Gronk duo. They were vital to the New England Patriots’ success in the past and when Brady made the move to Tampa Bay, Gronk was quick to follow. They managed to win the 2021 Super Bowl and they have started the 2021-22 season with a bang by winning their first game against the Cowboys.

The Bucs had a rough game defensively but it was their offence that turned the tide. Brady is considered one of the best players to ever throw a football. He was once again the focal point of the Bucs’ offence with his playmaking and the penchant for reading all of their opponent’s defensive set plays.

Bet on future football games

Dak Prescott and the rest of the Cowboys were solid throughout the game but they were unable to withstand the Bucs’ firepower. Even if they lost the game, there were some good signs and they should at least be optimistic about their season because they have the potential to compete at the top level against any NFL team.

Dallas’ new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn had a good start to the season as he managed to read the Bucs’ plays early on. He was unable to sustain that level of defence mostly because it was hard to stop Brady and Gronk’s brilliance.

If Quinn and the Cowboys defensive players can maintain that kind of level for an entire season, you can expect them to be one of the top teams in the NFL. It will be difficult to do that but it is possible and it should be their main goal for the season.

Tampa Bay is still the top favourites to win a second Super Bowl in a row but you can expect they have a target on their backs. It will be tough but you should never doubt Brady and Gronk.
