Are the Bulls primed for a playoff run?

Hope fills the air in Windy City as the Chicago Bulls gear up for a big run in the 2021-22 season. The team is ready to take on the big task of getting back to the NBA Playoffs after spending the past few years as a lowly team in the league.

The Bulls are now locked in for a run at the playoffs as they have assembled a strong roster that can work as one to win the league title or at least pull them into the playoffs. With a lot of new faces in the team, the Bulls might just be the next face of the Eastern Conference as well.

Zach LaVine gets a lot of support with the roster now revamped en route to the new season. The likes of Lonzo Ball, Nikola Vucevic, and DeMar DeRozan are now on the roster, and this should send a strong message to the rest of the teams in the East.

With Ball, they get a star-calibre who can run the point for the team. This should make it easy for Zach to play iso and take off some pressure away from the star as well. The former New Orleans Pelicans guard is off to a new start with the Bulls, and he has a chance to build his name here.

Ball comes off a great run with the Pels in the 2020-21 run. He had 14.6 points, 5.7 dimes and 4.8 boards per game and has improved his shooting with splits of .414/.378/.781. This makes Ball a great starter for the Bulls at this point.

Vucevic came late in the 2020-21 season for the Bulls, but he still had great numbers for the team while playing 26 games. The big man had 21.5 points, 11.5 boards and 3.9 dimes per game, it is a strong stat line that gives fans hope for his stance as a tower for the Bulls.

DeRozan was the biggest win for the Bulls in the summer. The former San Antonio Spurs star was traded to the Bulls and is off to a new chapter in his 12-year run in the NBA. His experience as a leader for both the Toronto Raptors and the Spurs makes him a key teammate for LaVine to have.

The star had 21.6 points and 6.9 dimes per game and has shot 88% from the foul line in 61 games for the Spurs in the 2020-21 season. He might get lower numbers soon but it is also a win for the team since they have a lot of stars in the roster.

LaVine has a lot of help, and this also makes the Bulls a playoff roster under coach Billy Donovan, who has playoff experience as well. This should push the Bulls to a playoff chase once again after a few years of absence.
