Why Giannis is the best player in the NBA

Giannis Antetokounmpo has come a long way and now he has a title win in the 2021 NBA Finals. A winner of two season MVPs and now with a title of his own, the Greek Freak has earned the right to be called the best player in the NBA.

Giannis finished off the Phoenix Suns in six games, and he made sure that the world would know his big run at the NBA Finals. It was the first time that the Bucks have won a title in 50 years and the Greek Freak scored 50 points with 13 boards and five blocks to cap off that run.

A lot of fans have taken a shot at Giannis for being a poor shooter from the foul line, but he proved everyone wrong in this series. From going 31-48 on the line to hearing a lot of counts when he tries for one, the Bucks’ MVP has become an icon from the line. He missed only two of his 18 shots in the foul line in Game 6 - which is a huge growth for him.

Giannis knows that the world would see him as a bigger star now. The Bucks are NBA champs for a reason, and the Greek Freak would love to cherish this moment with his team. The Bucks are in for a big run for a title repeat next season and they are now making waves in the league.

For the Bucks, this title win means a lot for their fans. A total of 17,000 fans were on the Fiserv Forum for Game 6, but there were 65,000 more just outside the arena. Every one of those fans proved that they are keen to win, and Giannis made their dreams come true.

Now that the Bucks are champions, the next step for Giannis would be to play for them in many years to come. It does not matter what he wants to do - he is the best player in the NBA. Not even the likes of LeBron James or Stephen Curry could argue with that. Chris Paul sure knows how much of a player Giannis is.

The Greek Freak’s big stat line in Game 6 showed why he is the best in the NBA. For both teams, no other player than Giannis and Paul scored more than 20 points in the game. Paul had 26, which was far from Giannis’ 50.

Giannis has etched his mark among the champs of this league. He is already a winner, and no one could ever dare to take that away from him. Everyone else will have to deal with that until they beat him on the same stage of the Finals.
