ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021: Winnable factors for West Indies vs Bangladesh discusses key factors that decide who seals a win in match 11 of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 Super 12 between West Indies vs Bangladesh.

Bat first or second

Four of the last five matches at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium so far have been won by teams chasing. Going by the trend, the captain winning the toss might prefer to take chase.

The wicket at Sharjah has been on the slower side this year. The average score batting first has been 142 so far in this year’s tournament.

Head-to-head record

West Indies lead the head-to-head record 6-5 against Bangladesh. The two sides have played twice in the T20 World Cup with both winning a game each. However, in the last five games, Bangladesh have had an upper hand over the Caribbean side with three wins.

Top Batters

Evin Lewis will be the player to watch out for in this game. The 29-year-old scored a prolific fifty in the last match against South Africa and was the lone bright spark for the West Indian side. The southpaw will be a vital player for the defending champions who need to win this match at any cost to stay in contention for the semi-final race.

Mushfiqur Rahim has been in top form in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 with 135 runs in five innings at an average of 33. Rahim is a versatile batter who will be expected to anchor the Bangladesh innings while scoring brisk runs in the end overs. Once set, the 34-year-old is a dangerous batter and can single-handedly take the game away from the opposition.

Top Bowler

Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein will be a good inclusion from the West Indian side. Hosein has three scalps in two outings and has bowled well in crunch situations for his team. The 28-year-old is likely to get plenty of assistance from the slow Sharjah surface and is expected to be amongst the wickets in this game.

Shakib Al Hasan has been on a wicket-taking spree in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. The tweaker has 11 wickets in five matches at an economy of just 5.27. Shakib will need to be at his best against the West Indies that boast of a powerful batting lineup. However, Shakib’s current form has been nothing short of exemplary and the all-rounder will be hard to get away with.
