Yadav thanks Rahul for support

Kuldeep Yadav did a great job as one of the unsung heroes in India’s win over Sri Lanka in their first ODI. Rahul Dravid had a lot of praise for him as Yadav thanked him for keeping him in high spirits amid his struggles on the big stage for the past few months.

Kuldeep proved his worth as a mainstay in India’s solid roster in the ODIs as he kept on playing good defence for his squad. He had wickets from Minod Bhanuka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa and allowed just 48 runs in his quota of nine overs.

In short, Yadav made huge plays in the Men in Blue’s win and they proved that the team has what it takes to rack up big scores and protect their own tally to score a big win. It was a huge, key boost for India ahead of their next few games.

Yadav said that ‘The Wall’ of Indian cricket had his back from start to finish. Dravid gave him motivation and told him to enjoy the game.

‘I was playing after a long time. Initially, there were a lot of conversations, Rahul sir backed and motivated me a lot’, Yadav said. ‘He talked about enjoying the game, believing in the process that we worked on in the last fifteen days without worrying about the result. I am very happy about the good performance’.

It has been some time since Yadav has shown a stunning performance. Cricket bubbles have been too hard for him and now he wants to make sure that he could get more of those chances in the long run.

There were a lot of doubts on his mind back then, but he let them all go like bad memories and played at the highest level. India needed more from him, and he proved that he can stand up to play well.

While he was not named as the player of the game, Yadav sure made a huge impact on the win and showed why India should keep him as a part of their roster. Who knows, he might be the team’s big difference in all of their games.
