Tampa Bay wins their second title in a row

Tampa Bay Lightning edges the Montreal Canadiens in an intense Game 5, 1-0 to close out the Stanley Cup Final and win their second title in a row. The Bolts did a great job to stay on top and clinch a huge title win in front of their home crowd.

When Ross Colton scored the first and only goal of the game, Tampa Bay fans knew it was already time for them to begin their party. The fans were wild - they were active from start to finish and put a lot of effort into this game to help their team win.

Montreal stood strong in Game 4 and looked like they had the momentum into this game. They had a lot of chances to score a goal but they failed to get one into the cage. The defence was just too much for them as Bolts stars gave up their bodies just to block shots.

Andrei Vasilevskiy was named the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the Bolts’ playoff run. He gave it his all as he clinched his fifth shutout in a row in the playoffs. The goalie had 22 saves in the win and he’s the team’s main man in their run.

Steven Stamkos was pleased with the win and said that it was huge for the team. To be able to do it in front of their fans was a chance that they didn’t have in their 2020 win over the Dallas Stars.

The captain lifted the same trophy in 2020 with an empty crowd, now he did it in front of the fans he loves the most. It has been a great run for Tampa Bay. For the second time in 20 years, the Bolts are the first team to win back to back titles in the Stanley Cup. That is a huge feat for the team in league history.

With the season now over, the Bolts will surely get a good night’s sleep after this win. They deserved this win, and they will never forget all they have gone through just to earn this title.
