Isak wants to focus on the early parts of the season
Alexander Isak is the best hope for Real Sociedad’s push for a league title in the 2021-22 season so far. The young star is working hard to help the White and Blues to score a win in their games, and fans hope that he can lead them to a title.
La Real has not won a league title in 40 years, but any talk that would say it is time to add one to their collection is yet to be discussed at the Zubieta training base. The White and Blues continue to battle for the top spot in the season and they are thriving to stay on the prowl.
Isak’s plays have been the exciting part of the San Sebastian squad and he is trying his best to also keep La Real fans grounded. The star says that it is all about winning for now and they don’t want to put pressure on the whole squad in the first half of the season.
‘I don't even see it as a fight for the title because for me it is so far ahead. The fight for the title will begin in April’, Isak said. ‘First place now doesn't mean anything. The only thing that makes us happy is just winning games. That's fun - it is not fun to be first place if you don't end up there’.
La Real missed out on their chance to get a slot at the Champions League in the 2020-21 season but are now closing down on the top spot to get a much bigger chance on Europe’s top tourney.
Sociedad’s growth in the past few months have all been credited to Isak’s games for the club. He has scored nine goals in his first La Liga season and helped the White and Blue finish sixth in 2019-20. Isak netted 17 goals in the 2020-21 run and helped them finish with the fifth spot while also winning the Copa del Rey.
Isak’s hot start in the 2021-22 season has given La Real a lot of hope in their games so far, and fans can even expect more from him as he continues to stay hot.
