Marcus Rashford desperate to improve Manchester United form
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford admits he feels for the fans during the club’s abysmal form in recent weeks.
United have failed to win any of their last five matches in all competitions and have lost two of their last three Premier League matches to West Ham United and Newcastle United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side fell to 12th position in the top-flight table after the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle on Sunday, where Rashford took to Twitter to voice his frustrations.
Rashford tweeted: “You can't hide in football and the last few weeks simply haven't been good enough.
“As a United fan myself, that hurts. And you deserve better. We know we need to improve and that is our sole focus as a team and as a club,” he added.
United goalkeeper David De Gea also told reporters that this is the worst period he can ever remember at the club since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
The Spanish goalkeeper said he could not understand how his team cannot seem to score more than one goal in a match.
