Rafinha Believes Flamengo Will Come Back Even Stronger

Ever since Rafinha joined Flamengo in 2019, they have won multiple titles. Rafinha expects the team to win even more titles for the foreseeable future.

Rafinha was a Brazilian player who left the country early on his career because of other opportunities in Europe. He had a successful career in Italy but his time in Germany with Bayern was the highlight of his career. He won multiple titles with the team and he was a vital cog in those teams.

He is happy that he is with Flamengo now because he can still be a prominent part of a championship-winning team. People have questioned his play before he joined the team because he was getting older. At 34 years old, people do not really see him being successful in the current state of the game. But with what he showed last season, he is not going away anytime soon.

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is a big fan of Rafinha’s contributions to Bayern and he expects his former player to still be successful in his endeavours. He said, ‘Rafa was a very good transfer back then. He was a reliable, positive and popular player and person in his eight years. He's won everything there is to win in club football with FC Bayern and he’s been an important part of our success in recent years’.

Rafinha has said that his leadership skills have been tested with the team. It is a good thing that he is playing with other experienced players on the defensive side like Filipe Luis and Diego Ribas because he is having fun with leading the team.

With all of the players improving, you can clearly see that the team is having a good experience. They are winning all of their matches and have matured in their year at the top. Rafinha is a good leader because he has experience winning the biggest tournaments, including the Bundesliga, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.

He has said that Flamengo will be stronger when the season resumes. He said, ‘Our football was growing, growing, growing, and it didn't stop, it kept growing. So that’s why the Flamengo fans are ecstatic, happy with the title, with the Brazilian. But everything is a process until lifting the cup everything is a process. So I saw it this way, that the team was gaining strength, gaining strength, and now that we are going to start reaping the fruits of what we did last year’.

Expect Flamengo to perform even better when the season comes back. It is hard to ignore their talents because they have been so dominant in the Brazilian domestic leagues. With the players getting some valuable experience under their belt, the team will be a scary team to go against.
