There have been some sensational strikes in the Premier League over the course of this season and many helped shaped the division’s standings.

Fans of the Premier League have been spoiled with a flurry of world class strikes this season, so narrowing it down to ten of the best was far from easy.

Below, please find ten sensational strikes that football fans should remember for many years to come.

10. Anthony Knockaert (Crystal Palace v BRIGHTON, March 9)

French winger Knockaert drove at Palace left-back Patrick Van Aanholt before cutting in from the right to curl home via the left post and earn Brighton a double over their bitter rivals.

9. Sergio Aguero (MANCHESTER CITY v Chelsea, February 10)

Argentina striker Aguero hit a hat-trick in the 6-0 demolition of Maurizio Sarri's Blues, with the pick of his goals a bending 25-yard effort into the top right corner.

8. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ARSENAL v Leicester, October 22)

Aubameyang had the simple task of tapping into an unguarded net after two neat touches and a delightful step over from Mesut Ozil tore open the Foxes' defence.

7. Andre Schurrle (Burnley v FULHAM, January 12)

The German World Cup winner expertly brought down Denis Odoi's raking pass forward before smashing the ball over Clarets goalkeeper Tom Heaton and in off the crossbar.

6. Aaron Ramsey (Fulham v ARSENAL, October 7)

After beginning a improvised team move deep inside Arsenal territory, midfielder Ramsey arrived on cue to finish it, instinctively back-heeling home from six yards.

5. Dan Gosling (Southampton v BOURNEMOUTH, April 27)

Midfielder Gosling added an emphatic finishing touch to a flowing, five-pass counter-attack which started with Jefferson Lerma inside the Cherries' 18-yard box.

4. Vincent Kompany (MANCHESTER CITY v Leicester, May 6)

City looked set to be frustrated by the Foxes but, with time ticking towards a costly draw, captain Kompany advanced forward to smash his first goal in more than a year into the top right corner from almost 30 yards.

3. Eden Hazard (CHELSEA v West Ham, April 8)

Blues forward Hazard was at his brilliant best with a fine solo effort, dancing beyond the challenges of Fabian Balbuena and Angelo Ogbonna to emphatically bury the ball into the bottom right corner.

2. Mohamed Salah (LIVERPOOL v Chelsea, April 14)

The Premier League's top scorer killed a searching pass wide on the right before slipping inside Emerson Palmieri to unleash an unstoppable angled drive into the far corner.

1. Andros Townsend (Manchester City v CRYSTAL PALACE, December 22)

Winger Townsend stunned the Etihad Stadium by rifling a thunderous first-time volley into the roof of the net from 30 yards as Palace upset Pep Guardiola's title-chasing City side.
