Clem wins DreamHack Masters Summer 2021 Europe

Clement ‘Clem’ Desplanches comes up big in his run at the DreamHack Masters Summer 2021 Europe as he beats Riccardo ‘Reynor’ Romiti in a massive showdown at the final. Clem sits at the top of the contest as Europe’s best heading into the bigger tourney this coming July.

To start off the games, Clem finished 6-1 in the Group Stages to secure an edge over the rest of the players in the tourney. The Team Liquid star won over Adrien ‘DnS’ Bouet in the Winners’ Round 1 and did not even bat an eye with a 3-0 series victory.

Clem didn’t even hold back in the second round when he faced Gabriel Raffaele ‘HeRoMaRinE’ Segat. The German star won in the second game before Clem took over and won the last two to close out the series and moved on to the Winners’ Final.

Reynor was waiting for Clem in the WF. The reigning IEM Katowice champ enjoyed a run of his own, going 7-0 in the Group Stages and even edging out Joona ‘Serral’ Sotala in round 2. He had a good pace heading into the WF, but Clem was even hungrier for a win.

The series lasted for six games and Clem emerged at the top to punch his ticket to the Grand Finals. Reynor fought back in the Losers’ Final and secured his chance to face Clem once more.

Clem won the first two games at Beckett Industries and Jagannatha. Reynor bounced back in Oxide to make sure he would not fall behind in the series. However, Clem was not planning to make it long and closed out the title with a win at 2000 Atmospheres.

The French star made sure Reynor won’t get a taste of victory in the final. Clem’s win in the DreamHack Masters Europe only means he is eager to step up his games and let the fanbase know that Reynor isn’t alone at the top of the game.

A win in the coming world tourney in July would surely cement his place as one of the best players of 2021. So far, Clem has been doing well in his games, and this win proved his worth as a star to beat in the long run as well.
