GuMiho is back in professional StarCraft II with PSISTORM
After his military service in South Korea, Koh ‘GuMiho’ Byung-jae is back in the professional StarCraft II scene. He signed with PSISTORM Gaming which was the team he played for before he entered the military.
GuMiho is one of the best Terran players in SC2’s history. He has a plethora of accolades in his nine-year career highlighted by the Global StarCraft II League Season 2: Code S win. He had a unique approach to the game that resonated with esports fans and it’s why GuMiho has a passionate fan base that supports him every step of the way.
Before he made the move to becoming one of the best Terran players, GuMiho was a rare player who used Random which means he played any race at any game he played. He is a skilled player who can adapt to anything but he buckled down and decided to focus on Terran which has his best race.
Back in the day, GuMiho was seen as one of the best Korean players. That kind of distinction is big since Korea is the land where top players perform. Before he stepped away from the game, GuMiho was one of the best players in the world at the time. He was seen as the counter to any top star because he knew what move to make and he was always prepared for anything that might happen.
That kind of player is special and now that he’s back in the scene, it can spell trouble for every pro who might have to go up against him soon. GuMiho has to adapt to the new playstyle now since he’s been gone for two years. However, PSISTORM is a good team fully prepared to help their star to adapt to the new meta of the game.
It will be fun to look forward to GuMiho’s major return against the top players from around the world. He matches up well with the top players from the Western scene. The world’s best player Joona ‘Serral’ Sotala is a notable rival of GuMiho. Hopefully, they can reignite their rivalry to see if GuMiho is still a star.
