Hubie hopes to return in 2022 ATP Finals

Hubert Hurkacz did not lose hope in his games despite being ousted in the ATP Finals in Turin. The star instead wants to make a big comeback for the contest in the 2022 edition soon. He vows to work hard and deliver a big win en route to a bigger success.

The star lost three games before he was taken out of the competition. He first claimed a set in his opening match against Daniil Medvedev before losing in three. Hubie then lost to Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev in the other two as he could not get a win against any player in the Red Group.

‘I have gained a lot of experience’, the Polish star said. ‘I definitely want to be back here and compete at a better level because I know I can play better than I played this week. I started well and then just didn’t’ play well enough and sometimes that happens’.

Hubie earned his place at the season finale when he enjoyed a strong run. The world no. 9 claimed tour-level titles in Delray Beach and Metz. He also nailed his first ATP Masters 1000 crown in Miami.

The star said that his final match of 2021 was not much of a good look but he sees that the success he had over the whole season is a sign that he can make more tweaks in his games as well.

‘I think it was a great season. I learned a lot, which was very big for me. The improvements I have made gave me the opportunity to be here and compete here’, the star said. ‘I am learning about what to work on. It is nice to have a lot of things to improve in my game. My return and my forehand are things I want to work on’.

Hubie did not win any match in his debut at the ATP Finals, but the Pole has faith that he can take his lessons to the next level and play hard in his games soon. At the age of 24, this was a big turn of events for him and he expects to get back to his top form soon.
