Why Larson deserves credit as a top star
Jordan Larson is one of the most successful volleyball stars. The legend has proved her worth as the best icon for the United States and she deserves a lot of credit for her success. This is why she is a star who should serve as an inspiration for players.
Nebraska’s volleyball legend has earned the Sportswoman of the Year honours from the Women’s Sports Foundation. This puts levels on her stance as one of the best icons in the sport and it also adds more to her claim as one of the best players in the world.
While there are still a lot of games left for Larson to play in her career, she has already left her mark in the sport so far. Larson served as the captain for Team USA’s indoor women’s volleyball team. She has been one of the best outside hitters for the squad which proves her worth as a key member of Team USA’s core squad.
Larson’s success over the years is a show of promise for many fans in the sport. Team USA’s success started off in the Tokyo Games with a gold medal finish. This only sets a higher bar in her games which proves that there is a bright future for the team.

The gold medal validates her success
Team USA’s win in the Tokyo Games was a great boost to the team’s confidence. No one expected them to win the tourney, and yet they came out on top of every big team in the league. This shows that there is still more to expect from the team in the coming years with Larson at the helm.
Larson did not know where to start. She was shocked by the win and she cried more than she did in her entire life.
‘The emotion of it and the belief in the team that we could actually do this was there’, the captain said. ‘I played the tape - what does it look like if we walk away with the silver, or what does it look like when we walk away with the gold. I could see it. I could see us walking away with the gold’.
They even walked with the medals around the airport. She believes that they deserved the win but could still not believe that they pulled it off.
Her consistency with Team USA is on display
Larson has been on the national team for 13 years. She never thought that she would even play for that long, and all of the short runs and failed title games led up to the big moment.
‘I learned how to be a professional. I learned what my body needs to perform at the highest level, making sacrifices, and staying away from social activities’, Larson said. ‘I really honed in on my skills and how I can use them to my advantage. I don’t jump the highest but I can outwork people. I can use my brain to play smart’.
From being a rural dreamer in Nebraska, Larson turned her career into a special one with Team USA and showed the world why she is one of the best players in the world.
