5. What is Google Authenticator?

Google Authenticator is used to provide an additional layer of security to your account. It is a software token that implements a two-step verification process. In order to use Google Authenticator, you will need a smartphone, because the Authenticator is installed as an application. You can also use Google Authenticator when offline.

The method used is a time-based One Time Password algorithm. Simply put, when you open the application, a randomly generated six-digit number sequence, aka the one-time password, is shown. If you have enabled the two-step verification process on your account, you will need to insert the one-time password on top of your regular password every time you log in. The two-step verification process helps users to ensure that their accounts cannot be logged in to with just the username and password, hence it provides the additional security.

Since the safety and security of our players are paramount to us at Sportsbet.io, we strongly recommend using Google Authenticator. This one little extra step could potentially save you a lot of heartache and worry.

If you have enabled Google Authenticator, you will be prompted to complete the 2-step verification each time you log in or make a withdrawal. Also, please print out the QR code or write down the manual code for account recovery - this will go a long way should you ever lose or damage your phone!

Read more about Google Authenticator.

Currently available on Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Baseball and Ice Hockey pre-live and live bets, you have the option to Cash Out a bet in its entirety or partially and leave the remainder of your stake to reach its natural conclusion.

For Example
You have placed a bet on your Real Madrid to win on the 1x2 market for a stake of μɃ 5,000 (mɃ 5) at a price of 3.00. With 70 minutes played Real Madrid have a 1-0 lead, and you would normally have to wait until the end of the match to claim your winnings.
Suddenly Real Madrid let in a goal to equalize the match!
Sportsbet.io offers the option for the customer to Cash Out for μɃ 15,000 (mɃ 15) and lock in the profit or you can decide to wait until the end of the match and hope Real Madrid score again. If you choose to partially Cash Out your bet, simply enter the amount.

12. How is the Cash Out value calculated?

Your Cash out value is determined by a number of factors including the price you accepted at bet placement, the amount you wagered, and the current live market price of your bet.

Under the “Active Bets” tab, your active bets that have the Cash Out feature will be shown by the Ƀ→ symbol.
Once clicked into that bet, you will see the Cash Out box on the right which displays the current maximum value in large green numbers. Just click “Cash Out” to claim that amount on your bet.
If you wish to only partially Cash Out your bet, enter the amount in the field first, then click “Cash Out”. Please note if Cash Out has suspended the box will be displayed as unavailable and greyed out.

14. Why Cash Out is not available for me?

Sportsbet.io cannot guarantee that the Cash Out feature will be available on your bet selection. 38. What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a digital currency that can only be created, stored and used online. The number of bitcoins in circulation is capped at 21 million. However, the smallest possible denomination is 0.00000001 of 1 bitcoin, so there are plenty to go around.

Bitcoin is the most popular and widely used digital currency for a few reasons. Unlike regular money transfers, Bitcoin transactions never take more than a few hours, no matter how large the sum is, or where the user is located. Fees are also considerably lower, never being more than just a few cents. Chargebacks are not possible with Bitcoin, making fraud almost impossible. No bank, government or person controls Bitcoins. This means that, unlike fiat currency transactions, Bitcoin transactions remain anonymous and cannot be seized.

39. How do Bitcoin transactions work?

Bitcoin transactions send currency from one online wallet to another. First, the payee and the payer exchange a private key (a randomly generated number). The transaction then goes through a number of confirmations from 0 to 5. The most common number of confirmations is 1, however, more is recommended when sending larger amounts of bitcoins. However, it is worth noting that each confirmation takes about 10 minutes to complete in the Bitcoin network. Once completed, a transaction can be viewed by anyone in the blockchain, but no sensitive information is revealed.

40. How to buy bitcoins?

Bitcoins can be purchased at the following places:

  • Exchanges: Buying bitcoins at an online exchange is the best option for those less interested in privacy because the exchanges often require proof of identity. As well as buying bitcoins through an exchange, you can also store them there.
  • Over the counter: This means buying bitcoins from another person directly. Although this sacrifices the anonymity of a normal bitcoin transaction, it is still very popular. There are many websites that connect Bitcoin sellers with buyers.
  • Bitcoin ATMs: These look and act like regular ATMs, but instead of receiving cash, you get a receipt with a designated code. Scanning this code adds bitcoins to your wallet.
  • BTCXE: If you choose “Buy Bitcoins” from our Cashier Menu, you can actually use a third-party service we have partnered with to purchase bitcoins with a bank account or credit/debit card, which are added to your account balance directly.”

41. Is Bitcoin legal?

Simply put, Bitcoin's legal position is improving all the time. How Bitcoin is regulated, what you can do with it, and how it is taxed still varies greatly from one country to another. In addition, new laws and regulations are being added and amended on a regular basis. If you would like to understand more about your government's position on Bitcoin and possible changes in the future, you can contact a legal adviser.

42. What is a Bitcoin wallet?

Bitcoin wallet is a software program in which bitcoins are stored. There are a number of bitcoin wallets to choose from. Some are cloud-based, while others are downloaded to your PC, tablet or smartphone. All of the wallets provide the same functionality, i.e. transferring bitcoins from one place to another, but each wallet has its own benefits.

Cloud wallets are the easiest & most convenient to use. However, when storing your bitcoins in the cloud you are ultimately handing the responsibility over to the business holding your BTC. Therefore, trust is essential when it comes to storing bitcoin in a cloud wallet. We recommend the copay.io cloud wallet.

Software wallets are downloadable programs that run on your computer, tablet or smartphone. They are considered more secure than cloud wallets because you have total control over them. However, they do still come with their own risks. The software wallet that we recommend is Electrum copay.io.

Bitcoin can provide very high levels of security if used correctly. Always remember that it is your responsibility to adopt good practices in order to protect your money.

    Points to consider:
  • Like in real life, do not keep all your funds in one wallet.
  • Choose your online wallet carefully, bearing in mind that a 2-step verification process is a good additional assurance to have.
  • Back your wallet up on a regular basis. Encrypting any backup that is exposed to the network is a good security practice.
  • Make sure to store your password in a safe place, be it in your mind or in a physical location. Unlike conventional banks, there are very limited options for password recovery in the Bitcoin world. Use a strong password that contains letters, numerals, punctuation marks, and is at least 16 characters long.
  • An offline wallet, also known as cold storage, provides the highest level of security for savings. It involves storing a wallet in a secured place that is not connected to the network. When done properly, it can offer a very good protection against computer vulnerabilities.

43. How to use Currency Exchange method?

  1. In order to be able to exchange currency, you need to have bitcoin funds on your account.
  2. In the top right of the page, click on your balance button.

  3. In the dialog box that opens, click 'Transfer To'
  4. Select the currency you want to change to
  5. Specify the amount in the Bitcoins (minimum amount is mɃ 1)
  6. After successful transfer the transfer completion message will appear and funds are transferred to selected balance meter

Please note, that transferred funds go to converted wallet. Exchanged funds cannot be withdrawn via online payment methods, In order to withdraw the exchanged funds and winnings produced using exchanged funds you will need to convert it back to bitcoin and proceed with bitcoin withdraw.

44. What additional fee do I pay?

For bitcoin transactions, we do not charge any fees. However, please note that your bank or payment service provider may charge you additional fees for deposits, withdrawals or currency conversion according to their terms and conditions and your user agreement.

For BTCXE and fiat transactions, we charge a processing fee of 1.95%. When you’re buying Bitcoin, you can see the amount paid, including the fee, and the number of mɃ / μɃ that you get.

Note that some payment methods may include an additional fee. In this case, the fee will be clearly visible for you in the cashier.

46. How are Fantasy contest scores calculated?

Check Fantasy rules and prices under the selected contest Info tab.

47. What happens if any contests are subject to canceled games in Fantasy?

For all sports except MLB, where any of the fixtures within a contest are canceled, postponed or abandoned without an official result all bets are considered void and the entry amounts are returned to the members. There are no prize/winnings payouts for these voided contests.

48. The games are all over in Fantasy and I have won so why is my account not showing my winnings?

We wait until all fantasy points have been reported to Fantasy from our data provider. This ensures all final box scores are accurate; however occasionally there can be some last-minute changes due to our stat provider awarding fantasy points manually. Contests will be settled the following day if there is an issue with scoring or obtaining official results.

47. Why can't I see all the players in the Fantasy who are playing today?

All sports will display players who are on the team roster for the selected games. To avoid giving late entrants an unfair advantage the players available, their pricing and their positions will not be changed once a contest is created. All Fantasy contests are also created up to one week in advance.
