Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 6 Starts - Round 14 Re-cap

Round 14 Recap

Round 14 has wrapped up, and things are starting to shape up in the relegation and title battles, with plenty of teams still scrambling for those coveted promotion spots. It was a pretty high-scoring round overall, with most teams landing 3 or 4 correct answers, and a handful even pushing the limits with 5 or 6. But the real stars? Renato297 and BitcoinHunt3r, who both nailed 7 correct answers—impressive stuff! Scoring 7 right in any round is no small feat, so hats off to you two!

Division 1

Division 1 saw some serious action this round, with plenty of high-scoring games. Big wins came from jayce, Jinetics1111, strongkored, and chi20, all of whom nailed 6 correct answers. But two duels really stand out. First, strongkored pulled off a crucial 6:4 victory against Slissy, securing the top spot on the table with a comfortable 4-point cushion. Then, jayce took a narrow 6:5 win over vd309, which officially makes vd309 the unluckiest player in Division 1. Despite a league-leading 59 correct answers so far, he's only sitting in 12th place. At least he's got the LMS portion of the competition to look forward to.

Looking at the table, it's clear there's going to be a serious battle for second place behind strongkored, as well as the last relegation spot. Arallmuus and buwaytress are currently in the prime positions, but with them facing off in Round 15, it really opens things up for everyone a bit further down the table. As for Kokee44, it’s looking like relegation is pretty much sealed—unless there's a miracle, even a few wins won't save him thanks to his goal difference. Chi20 and mv1986 are in a slightly better spot, but they’re still 6 points from safety, so they’ll need to win every game from here on out and hope for a little bit of luck with results above them. The fourth relegation spot is currently held by Jinetics1111, but he’s just one point away from safety, making that spot anyone’s game. In fact, nearly half the division could find themselves in that dreaded position by the end.

Division 2

Alongside Renato297, who delivered a fantastic 7:4 win, we had two other teams stepping up with stellar performances. Both jeremypwr and Koal-84 nailed 6 correct answers, securing their victories with some breathing room to spare. Darxiaomi and mitchr4 may not have been as convincing, but they still came through with crucial wins, keeping them at the top of the table. As for the other two promotion spots, that’s where things are going to get really heated. With 7 teams trailing just 3 points behind, it's going to be a fierce battle for those final spots!

On the other end of the table, it's all but over for imarios and Igebotz, who are set to drop to Division 3 next season after another loss in Round 14. Things aren't looking much better for russeras, who’s now facing a 5-point gap to safety. As for the battle to avoid the last relegation spot, it’s going to be another nail-biter, with plenty of teams still in the mix and fighting to stay afloat.

Division 3

After both Patkino and Yassinmanai lost in this round, the top of the Division 3 table has become extremely competitive, with everything still up for grabs. Patkino remains in first place, but his lead has now narrowed to just 2 points. At the other end of the table, Shogun47 has been eliminated from the BSFL, and Omikifuse is almost certain to be relegated to Division 4 next season. The third and final relegation spot is particularly tough to call, with three teams all on 15 points, separated only by goal difference.

Division 4

Spack17 maintained his top position despite having a free round, as HomieAllDay lost to BitcoinHunt3r in a thrilling 7-5 game. This high-scoring victory lifted BitcoinHunt3r to 3rd place and could even give him a shot at challenging for the top spot. In the next round, the situation flips: HomieAllDay will be free while Spack17 faces Dump3er. This gives Spack17 a great opportunity to strengthen his lead.

LMS

his round in LMS brought an incredibly tense moment, with everything coming down to the final question. Had the outcome been different, nearly all participants could have been eliminated from the competition. However, that wasn’t the case, and in the end, only Slissy needed to buy back in. While that wasn’t enough to claim the title of top sponsor, which is proudly held by Buwaytress, it was still a close race. With only 8 of us remaining, the prize is now 21.5 mBTC, setting the stage for an exciting conclusion to the season.
