Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 6 Starts - Round 16 Re-cap

Round 16 Recap
Time is running out, and our players clearly took that to heart—putting in the effort with solid research and smart picks this round. There were plenty of high-scoring duels, but two in particular stood out. Renato297 secured an 8:5 win over mitchr4, while un_rank pulled off an 8:6 victory against paco92x. Well done to both—getting 8 correct picks in any round is definitely something to be proud of. With just one round left in our top three divisions, it’s time to take a look at where things stand heading into the final 90 minutes of the regular season.
Division 1
Division 1 saw some big wins this round. Slissy and Harkorede both came through with strong 6:3 victories, while I managed to edge out a crucial 6:5 win over vd309. That result keeps my title hopes alive, especially with both strongkored and arallmuus losing their duels this week. As it stands, strongkored holds the top spot with 31 points, with me one point behind him and arallmuus one point behind me. The title race is officially a three-horse sprint, while the rest of the field will be battling it out for position—and, of course, those all-important prize tiers.
At the other end of the Division 1 table, we already have three teams confirmed for relegation: Kokee44, mv1986, and chi20. Best of luck in Division 2 next season—we hope to see you bounce back soon. Meanwhile, there’s still a fierce battle brewing over the final relegation playoff spot. Vd309 currently holds it, but he’s just one point behind Saint-loup and two behind jayce. On paper, jayce has the easier task with a matchup against leea-1334, who no longer has anything at stake. In contrast, Vd309 and Saint-loup are facing off against title contenders strongkored and arallmuus. Those two duels will be well worth keeping an eye on.
Division 2
Division 2 is shaping up to be a real nail-biter at the top. No fewer than six teams are still in the hunt for the title, making this one of the tightest finishes we've seen. Darxiaomi and cls63 are currently leading the pack with 31 points, holding a two-point edge over el che. Just a single point might be enough for them to seal the deal—depending, of course, on how the rest of the results shake out. Meanwhile, Ulven, mitchr4, and Renato297 are all sitting on 28 points, hoping for a perfect storm of outcomes to give them a shot at the top. What makes things even more interesting is the fact that all six teams have nearly identical goal differences, setting the stage for a potential last-minute twist. The headline clash will be Darxiaomi vs. Renato297—a direct duel with the title on the line—while the others are facing, at least on paper, more manageable matchups.
Just like in Division 1, Division 2 already has three confirmed relegations: imarios, Igebotz, and russeras will be heading down next season. The final relegation spot, however, is still very much up for grabs. Currently, dbshck finds himself in that precarious position but will be aiming to leapfrog either Koal-84 or hakan2217 in a last-ditch bid for safety. It’s going to be a tense finish for those three as they battle to avoid the drop.
Division 3
Following the latest results, the title race in Division 3 has narrowed down to three contenders. Yassinmanai is in the strongest position with 33 points, while Patikno sits just one point behind and still very much in the mix. B1g4udge trails by three points and, with a significantly worse goal difference, his chances are more theoretical than realistic at this stage. As for the relegation picture, it’s already settled. Woodie and Omikifuse will be heading to Division 4 next season, while shogun47 is officially out of the competition.
Division 4
This round featured a major title clash between HomieAllDay and Spack17, with HomieAllDay coming out on top with a 5:2 win. That result was just enough to push him into first place, nudging ahead of Spack17. With both teams facing relatively manageable fixtures in the final stretch, this title race is set to go right down to the wire.As for the third and final promotion spot, it looks all but secured by BitcoinHunt3r, who holds a 6-point lead and has already completed his matches. The only slim scenario left is for Dump3er to win both of his remaining games and swing the goal difference by six—a tough ask, but not mathematically impossible.
LMS
This was a high-scoring round, so it came as a bit of a surprise to see three of the remaining seven players drop out. El che, arallmuus, and cryptofrka fell below the cut-off—but two of them have already used their buy-back, which means we should still have six contenders vying for the main prize of 23.5 mBTC. Vd309 continues to lead the way, though his margin has now shrunk to just a single point over el che. At the other end, cryptofrka sits five points off the top but hasn’t given up—he’s surely hoping for one of those wild, unpredictable rounds to pull off a last-minute heist, much like he nearly did last season. One thing’s for sure: the final round is going to be a fun one to follow.
