Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 6 Starts - Round 17 Re-cap

Round 17 Recap

And that’s a wrap—the regular season of BSFL Season 6 is officially in the books, and we have our new champions! There's plenty to break down from this final round, so let’s dive into it piece by piece, as always.

Division 1

Strongkored is our new champion—congratulations! It was a tight race right to the finish, with all three title contenders delivering strong performances in the final round. Each secured a win, allowing Strongkored to maintain his narrow one-point lead and clinch the title.

That said, the ending wasn't without a bit of unexpected drama. Strongkored’s opponent, vd309, failed to submit his picks—meaning the title was technically decided before the round even kicked off. While that might normally raise eyebrows, there were no shady dealings here—just an unfortunate slip-up. With plenty still at stake, vd309’s missed submission not only handed Strongkored the win, but also cost him his lead in the LMS and confirmed his place in the relegation playoff. He’ll now face mitchr4 in a must-win duel to stay in Division 1. As for the bottom of the table, chi20, mv1986, and Kokee44 have finished below the line and will be competing in Division 2 next season.

Division 2

The Division 2 title goes to cls63, who finished three points clear of second-placed Ulven. That may not sound like a huge gap at first glance, but considering that four managers ended up tied just behind him—with goal difference being the only separator—it puts those three points into perspective. Unfortunately for Darxiaomi, he was the odd one out and missed out on promotion despite being level on points. As a result, cls63, Ulven, and Renato297 will be moving up to Division 1 next season, while mitchr4’s fate will be decided in the playoff. On the bright side, mitchr4 walks away with a nice bit of recognition: the honorary title for the most correct picks across the entire BSFL season.

At the other end of the table, the relegation battle came right down to the wire. Koal-84 managed to stay safe—by just a single point. Russeras will now face Rikafip in a playoff for the final Division 2 spot, while dbshck, Igebotz, and imarios will be heading to Division 3 next season.

Division 3

Division 3’s title race went right down to the wire, with yassinmanai edging out Patkino in a neck-and-neck battle. Both managed narrow wins in their final duels to lock in the top two spots. They’ll be heading to Division 2 next season, joined by B1g4udge, who secured third place. Best of luck to all three as they move up to the next level! On the flip side, three managers are saying goodbye to Division 3. That unenviable distinction goes to Woodie, Omikifuse, and shogun47, who will be dropping out to Division 4 ahead of next season.

Division 4

This division isn’t quite finished yet—we’ve still got one more round to go. What we do know is that HomieAllDay and Spack17 have already secured promotion to Division 3, and one of them will take home the title. The final promotion spot looks likely to go to BitcoinHunt3r, but there’s still a slim chance for Dump3er to pull off a dramatic comeback. He’ll need to beat goodpunt by five or more goals in the last match to make it happen. A tall order, but not entirely out of reach.

LMS

The last round of LMS delivered the chaos we all expected. It kicked off with a surprise exit from our leader, vd309, who didn’t submit and was eliminated before the round even began. That opened the door for el che to take the lead—and he did just enough to hold onto a 2-point advantage and secure the win. Congratulations! That 23.5 mBTC prize will definitely come in handy. Meanwhile, with Slissy and cryptofrka also dropping out, that left just slaman29 and me standing to split the $500 free bet pool evenly. Not a bad way to close out the season!

BSFL Cup

In addition to the remaining Division 4 action, we’ve also got the BSFL Cup Final and 3rd place match on the schedule this week. Vivekdhyani1 will face arallmuus in the showdown for the title, while Strongkored and Dump3er square off for the final podium spot. On paper, there are clear favorites in both matchups—but as we all know, the BSFL Cup has a way of defying expectations. And here’s some extra fun: I’m pleased to announce that betting on the cup games is now available on Sportsbet. So go ahead, back your favorites and add a little more excitement to this grand finale!
