Round 7 Recap
Round 7 was a high scoring one and most of our players had no problems getting 4 or 5 correct answers. Highest score in this round was 7 correct answers and was accomplished by several players. Not going to name them all here but I am going to single out ulven vs. mitchr4 duel where they played a 7:7 draw. Really tough luck for both of them since result like that would have been enough for a win in most of the duels.
Division 1
Big performance and win for Slissy in this round, his 7:3 result against arallmuus did wonders for his placement both in league and LMS. Notblox1 also managed to get 7 correct answers against slaman29. Well done guys, these wins were just enough to propel you way up the table and chance to contest our top 3.
Ralle14 is leading Division 1 with 15 points followed closely by strongkored and vd309. Vd309 deserves a bit of special mention here since he is by far the highest scoring player in this season with 36 correct answers so far, but due to some bad luck in fixtures he is occupying “only” third position. In other news mv1986 managed to get his first points of the season, just in time to start catching up with the rest. Biggest derby of the next round will definitely be vd309 vs notblox1 duel, should be action packed affair between two teams in great form.
Division 2
In addition to already mentioned high scoring draw between ulven and mitchr4, hosemary was the only other team getting 7 correct in this round which was more than enough for a win against Igebotz and nice boost in ranks. VashaUdacha777 is leading the pack with 15 points which is enough for 2 points separation on the top. Behind him situation is quite close, best illustrated by fact that we have 4 teams on 13 points and 12th placed team is just 5 points behind on 10 points. Every point will be super important here. On the other end of table Igebotz and Imarios look like prime relegation candidates but there is still plenty of time to turn it around.
Division 3
Yassinmanai and Patikno have started the season well and are topping this Division on 16 points, considering there is already a gap forming behind them this could be considered as early promotion candidature. Behind them situation is super close and goal difference could end up being deciding factor. This round was very even and only paco92x managed to record a dominant win.
Division 4
We have lost our first player this season and not surprisingly it was in Division 4. Joca97 is out of BSFL and all his games have been assigned as 3:0 wins for his opponents. With those points added and results from round 7 we have a change at the top where HomieAllDay and General_Bitcoin managed to leapfrog Spack17 on the top. Seems like we will have a proper promotion fight in this division after all with derby between Spack17 and HomieAllDay coming this week.
LMS
Since we had a high scoring round it is only natural that we didn’t loose many people in LMS part of our competition. This week was generously sponsored by LFC_Bitcoin who has decided that two buy backs that he already spent were enough. Probably correct since at the moment he is trailing 13 points behind the leader.
That leader being, surprise, surprise vd309 with 36 points, that comes out on average of over 5 correct picks per round which is certainly impressive. That means, chasing pack has to make at least 5 correct picks each round just to lower the difference. But there is still a lot to play for and all remaining players are inside 10 points so I am expecting at least one of us to raise to the occasion and challenge vs309 for the title.
