Round 8 Recap

Round 8 was a though one, many teams had problems getting more than 3 or 4 correct answers which made 5 correct answers a win in every duel. With stats like that, 8 correct answers accomplished by famososMuertos are even more astonishing. No wonder round like this was also accompanied by bloodbath in LMS but more about that in dedicated section.

Division 1

We have a change on top of Division 1, strongkored and vd309 won their games and used a slip up from ralle14 to leapfrog him on table. Whole division is super close and I am expecting many more changes before we have a clear favorite. We should have a bit clearer situation after next round since ralle14 is taking on vd309 in what is surely the derby game of Round 9. Jayce getting 7 correct answers and winning his duel against Slissy with 4 goals to spare definitely deserves a special mention as well as arallmuus wining his match against Harkorede 5:2. In a division this close any opportunity to build up goal difference could end up super important.

Division 2

With VashaUdacha777 dropping the points in this round and all three chasing teams (darxiaomi, jeremypwr and MAAManda) winning their duels we now have 4 teams on 16 points sharing top position and separated only on goal difference. All of them have winnable games on paper in Round 9 so any slip ups here will probably end up being expensive. On the other end of the table imarios and Igebotz can’t catch a break and look like prime relegation candidates. Time to make changes and turn your season around guys and what better way to start for team Igebotz than winning in relegation derby against 16th placed russeras in Round 9? Special mention goes to darxiaomi for getting 7 correct in his duel against mitchr4.

Division 3

After my praise for Yassinmanai and Patikno in last article they both dropped the points in this round and now Division 3 table looks wide open with 1-point gaps between the positions all the way. I already mentioned famososMuertos killing it in this round and his result really looks out of the place in a round where most games ended with 3:3 draws. We shall see if he will be able to repeat such performance in his duel against Patkino in next round when form meats constantly solid performance. Division 4

We have a change on top once again with Spack17 reclaiming the top after winning the derby against HomieAllDay with 2:1 result. Seems like importance of this game made mangers shut up any avenues to the goals and defend. Big 5:1 win for Pulsar77 will help his goal difference a lot and raise him closer towards promotion fight, first goal of any team playing in Division 4.

LMS

This week was a proper test for LMS. We lost 7 people and only 10 are remaining in the run for rewards before buybacks kick in. That means we lost over 40% of players in single round, probably some kind of a record. Hopefully, some of them will opt to buy back since our money fund is growing significantly slower than last season. Main reward is currently at 12.5 mBTC and I feel like time for buybacks will hit us in later rounds when everyone thinks they have a real shot at it.

Vd309 is still on the top with 39 points and 4 points cushion in front of first follower. This was a bad round by his standards and he looked like he could be getting out. Too bad most of us chasing him had bad rounds as well so we didn’t really close the gap. Whole chasing pack is inside 5 points so we are just one bad round for vd309 away from breaking LMS wide open.
