Round 9 Recap

Round 9 was a generally low scoring one, it isn’t that often that we have many winners with just 3 correct answers. As always there were people that performed better than average but even that stat isn’t really impressive in this round. Highest score for the round was 6 correct answers and it was achieved by mitchr4, hosemary, Woodie and Spack17, well done guys. Needless to say, they all managed convincing wins in their duels and improved both their league positions and goal differences.

Division 1

We had another change on top of Division 1 in this round, vd309 won the derby game against ralle14 with 5:3 result and leapfrogged strongkored who was held to 3:3 draw against mv1986. This feels like sort of turning point and I am thinking vd309 is now at deserved position and here to stay. He has the highest score across all divisions with some margin and only bad luck in duels was stopping him from running away with the league already. That being said he has another derby in Round 10, this time taking on arallmuus who is just 3 points behind him in the table so maybe a quick chance to refute my prediction.

Two more results worth mentioning, big wins for Jinetics1111 and notblox1, both achieved by getting 5 correct answers, nicely done guys. On the other end of the table Kokee44 seems to have trouble staying in touching distance of safety zone and is currently prime candidate for relegation after loosing to cryptofrka with just one correct answer.

Division 2

VashaUdacha777 and darxiaomi ended up big winners of Round 9, they managed convincing wins in their duels against hakan2217 and ulven while the rest of the teams on the top slipped up. This now leaves them as joint leaders with 2 points to spare. Igebotz managed and all-important win against russeras in relegation derby. This was enough for him to catch the rest of relegation pack while imarios looks like he is already in peace with relegation. 0 points after 9 games doesn’t really give him much chance of staying in Division 2 next season.

Division 3

Patikno with narrow 3:2 in duel against famososMuertos managed to claim top position and secure himself 2 points lead in front of chasing pack. This division looks super close, best illustrated by the fact that 2nd placed yassinmanai and 16th placed Dittoup are only 7 points apart. Every point will be super important in the rounds to come with margins as small as this. Seems like every division has one straggler that has problems keeping up with the pack and that unflattering title in Division 3 goes to Omikifuse, already 7 points gap to just enter relegation fight doesn’t look promising.

Division 4

Spack17 with super convincing 6:1 win boosted his goal differences on top of the table but HomieAllDay also managed to win and is keeping the pressure on the leader. Rest of the division has fallen a bit behind so it looks like a fight between these two for the title and then all the rest fighting for last promotion spot.

LMS

This week we had 3 teams dropping out from LMS: Ulven, Trofo and slaman29 ended up below the safety line. Curiously enough all of us bought back almost immediately and we are all continuing the fight. Was about time to start putting some money in the bank. With these buy backs our main prize has grown to 14 mBTC.

Now we just need a bad step from our leader vd309, he has a lead of 6 points in front of second placed Slissy and it is really time for him to have one bad round. Rest of us are all close together inside just 4 points so still everything to play for. Don’t forget, we also have 500$ free bet pool for runners up in last round.
