Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 7 - Round 14 Re-cap

Round 14 is in the books, and with only three rounds left in the season, the tension is cranking up. To let everyone catch their breath before the final sprint, most teams get a week off to regroup. Instead, we’ll see the BSFL Cup semi-finals and a handful of friendlies, while the rest of you enjoy a short break. With just 9 points still available, some positions are starting to look fairly settled—but nothing is set in stone yet. Let’s break it down division by division as usual.

Division 1 Recap

Buwaytress was the standout in Division 1 this round, putting up 7 correct answers and cruising past cryptofrka. Strong showings also came from slaman29 and Saint-loup, both hitting 6 correct answers for comfortable wins. Saint-loup’s victory carried extra weight—it came against vd309 and all but sealed the title for Slissy. Slissy himself slipped a little, managing only a draw against jayce, but with vd309 losing, he still stretched his lead to 6 points with a +6 goal difference. That puts him just one win away from clinching the title, which looks well within reach for a side that’s already taken 10 wins from 14 games.

At the bottom, ralle14 gave himself a lifeline with a much-needed win. The task ahead is huge though—still 8 points adrift of safety with only 3 games to go, he’d need a perfect finish to even stand a chance. Outside of that, the relegation fight is wide open, with 8 teams separated by just 4 points. Plenty of twists still to come there.

Division 2 Recap

The standout in Division 2 this round was el che, who hit 7 correct answers and comfortably saw off his opponent. That result didn’t shake up the table much, but the next two did—hosemary and jeremypwr both landed 6 correct answers and won their duels 6:4. Hosemary’s win, combined with Rikafip’s slip against MAAManda, has blown the title race wide open. Rikafip still leads, but the gap is down to just a single point, and with only three rounds left, every question will matter. The rest of the pack might struggle to catch those two, but the battle for the final promotion spots is still very much alive. At the other end, jeremypwr’s win came at just the right time. He’s still in a tough spot, but survival suddenly looks a bit more possible. LFC_Bitcoin is already relegated, and now the fight to avoid the other two spots looks set to go right to the wire.

Division 3 Recap

Division 3 didn’t see many standout performances this round, but the one we did get was massive. Imarios hit 8 correct answers—the best result across the entire competition. The twist? He did it against Spack17, who up until now had been riding his luck and boasting the lowest goals conceded tally in the league with just 31. That number is still solid, but this result certainly brought it back down to earth. Dittoup also slipped to defeat, which means the top of the table remains unchanged with him still leading, closely followed by Spack17 just a point behind. The real difference is that their cushion has shrunk, and the chasing pack suddenly has a more realistic shot at catching up.

Division 4 Recap

Division 4 stayed steady this round with no real movement at the top. Dump3er continues to lead, holding a one–point advantage and a game in hand over goodpunt, who in turn sits three points clear of Woodie. Those three remain the frontrunners for promotion, and at this stage it looks like only ovcijisir is close enough to pose any real threat to their spots.

LMS

LMS is starting to feel a bit repetitive with only three players left, but with the stakes this high it’s hard to imagine any of them walking away before the end. Slissy is still holding the lead, one point ahead of vd309, while cryptofrka slipped this round with the lowest score and now finds himself seven points adrift. His buyback added another 1 mBTC to the pot, pushing the prize pool up to 16.25 mBTC. At this stage, it looks like we’re in for buybacks all the way to the finish line.

BSFL Cup semifinal games

We’re down to the last four in the cup, and things lined up in an interesting way — both semifinals pair Division 1 teams against Division 3 challengers. Harkorede faces paco92x in one tie, while cls63 goes up against Dittoup in the other. Each side has plenty to play for: cls63 is looking for a strong cup run to make up for a tough, relegation-threatened league season; Dittoup has his eyes on adding a cup triumph alongside a potential Division 3 title; paco92x, in his debut season, could make a real statement by lifting the cup; and Harkorede, the highest-ranked team left, will certainly not want to let this opportunity slip. Plenty of storylines, but only two will reach the final.
