Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 7 - Round 16 Re-cap

Round 16 turned out to be a low-scoring one, with most teams struggling to even reach five correct picks. But that didn’t stop MAAManda, who put in the standout performance of the week with 8 correct answers. In a round this tricky, that’s an unreal result—well done. With only one round left in the season, things are quickly wrapping up. A few titles are already decided, a couple of teams have been relegated, and some have little left to play for. Still, the majority are fighting hard for those last few points needed to hit their targets. Let’s go through it division by division, as usual.
Division 1 Recap
By now, Slissy taking the Division 1 title is hardly news—it’s been clear for a while. Still, he continues to impress, adding yet another win to what is shaping up to be a record-breaking season. With the top decided and no promotion battle in this division, attention shifts fully to the relegation fight. Ralle14 is already confirmed to go down, and notblox1 is hanging on with only a theoretical chance of survival. Just above, Leea-1334 sits on 17 points in the last direct relegation spot, with a tough task ahead—only a win next round will realistically give him any chance to keep Division 1 status. The real tension comes with the three teams on 18 points—strongkored, ulven, and arallmuus—all battling to avoid the relegation playoff place. At the moment, strongkored holds a slight edge thanks to goal difference, but with so little separating the sides, every point will matter in the final round.
Division 2 Recap
This round brought a title-deciding derby between Rikafip and hosemary, and it was hosemary who came out on top with a convincing 5:2 victory. The result pushes him to the top of the table, and now he needs just one point in the final match against LTU_btc to secure the championship. Behind him, Rikafip and mv1986 are in strong positions to claim the other promotion spots. The real battle is for fourth place, the last spot that offers a playoff chance. At the moment, B1g4udge holds it, but both Igebotz and darxiaomi are close enough to capitalize if he slips in the final round. With margins this fine, every pick could make the difference. At the other end, relegation isn’t fully decided yet. Alongside already-relegated jeremypwr and LFC_Bitcoin, we still need two more names. Right now, hakan2217 and chi20 are in the danger zone, and while survival is still mathematically possible, it will take a win in the last round—a result that has proved hard to come by for them this season.
Division 3 Recap
Spack17 is officially the new Division 3 champion after recording yet another win this round. What makes the achievement even more remarkable is the path he took—two of his four losses came from missed deadlines, and he even picked up an additional -2 points penalty along the way. Despite that, he still managed to clinch the title before the final round. A well-deserved congratulations—let’s hope the form carries into Division 2, but the forgetfulness doesn’t. The promotion race looks close to settled. Unless something unexpected happens, the spots will go to Dittoup, ILuckyGuyI, and Ozymandias_DZ. The only remaining question is which two will earn direct promotion and who will have to fight for it through the playoff. At the other end, everything is already decided. un_rank will be relegated to Division 4, while russeras will face the third-placed Division 4 team in a playoff to try and hold onto his Division 3 status.
Division 4 Recap
With a slightly different schedule, Division 4 still has two rounds to go, and the picture is starting to take shape. Right now, the title looks like Dump3er’s to lose, while goodpunt is in a strong position to secure promotion to Division 3. The real drama lies in the race for the third and final promotion spot. Four teams are currently tied on the same points, which means every result, every goal scored, and even goal difference could prove decisive. With margins this thin, expect a tense finish right down to the last round.
LMS
It was another quiet week in the LMS, with events unfolding exactly as expected. Once again, one of the three remaining players dropped out only to buy straight back in. This time it was vd309, making it two weeks in a row for him. That streak now leaves him both the biggest contributor to the prize pot and, ironically, the player in the worst form heading into the final round. It feels like we’re just waiting for the spark now. With so much on the line and only one round left, a dramatic finish is almost guaranteed. Next week’s update should bring plenty more to talk about.
