Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 7 - Round 7 Re-cap

Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 7 - Round 7 Re-cap

Round 7 was a bit of a strange one—high scoring overall, but without anyone truly going off. Most teams comfortably hit 3 or 4 correct answers, keeping things steady across the board but only a handful reached 6, and no one went beyond that. This kind of even distribution meant there were very few casualties in the LMS, with nearly everyone safely clearing the drop-out line. As a result, the standings remained almost unchanged from last week—calm before the storm, perhaps?

Division 1 Recap

Two of the top performances this week came from Division 1, where leea-1334 and notblox1 both notched 6 correct answers and walked away with identical 6:4 wins—and not just against anyone, but against Slissy and Jinetics1111, two of the division’s frontrunners. Huge statement wins from teams considered underdogs on paper. No one benefited more from this chaos than vd309, who took full advantage to leapfrog both Slissy and Jinetics1111 and grab the top spot. It’s a tight race, with just 1 point separating the top 4—vd309, Slissy, Jinetics1111, and cryptofrka, who has quietly climbed the table by stringing together wins without much fuss. At the bottom, ralle14 remains the only team clearly off the pace. There’s still time to turn things around—but that time’s not unlimited.

Division 2 Recap

Two teams hit the high mark of 6 correct answers in Division 2 this week—B1g4udge and Igebotz. Both secured wins, though the style points definitely go to B1g4udge, who cruised to victory after el che managed just 2 correct picks. Igebotz, on the other hand, had to work a bit harder, edging out a stubborn chi20 in a much tighter contest. Meanwhile, hosemary continues to cool off after his red-hot start—dropping points for the second round in a row. That slip has allowed Rikafip and B1g4udge to open up a 3-point gap at the top, giving them a bit of breathing room in an otherwise competitive division. At the other end, jeremypwr seems to be struggling to find his rhythm this season. A well-known name in BSFL circles, so don’t be surprised if he makes a push in the second half—but he’ll want to start that comeback as soon as possible.

Division 3 Recap

Dittoup continues to lead the way in Division 3 with 19 points, closely followed by Ozymandias_DZ on 17 and Spack17 on 16. Right behind them, there's a logjam of 7 teams all sitting on 13 points, making the battle for that final promotion spot one of the tightest in the league. With margins this fine, every goal counts, and that's why the big wins from Spack17 and Ozymandias_DZ this round are worth more than just the 3 points—they could prove crucial on goal difference when the season wraps up. Down at the bottom, things are equally congested, with no clear relegation favorites just yet. Still plenty of twists ahead, and this division looks set for a chaotic finish on both ends of the table.Division 4 Recap

Dump3er continues to set the pace in Division 4, adding another solid win to his resume—this time a 5:2 victory over execijutiere. With that, he’s now opened up a 4-point lead at the top and is looking more and more like the man to catch. Behind him, though, it’s shaping up to be a real scrap for the remaining promotion spots. Goodpunt, General_Bitcoin, and welovebit are currently best positioned, but things are still tight enough that one bad round could flip the whole order. Expect this one to go down to the wire.

LMS

We kicked off the round with 9 players and, surprisingly, we lost only player this time. That unlucky soul was el che, who generously took on the role of sponsor for the rest of us. Given he just cleaned up in the World Club Competition Fantasy, though, we wouldn't be shocked if he buys back in—he’s got the funds and the form. At the top, Slissy is still clinging to the lead, but it’s a narrow one—just a single point ahead of cls63 and vd309. It's shaping up to be another classic LMS season, with the usual suspects circling the big prize. No room for slip-ups from here on out.
