Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 7 Re-cap

Season 7 has started

Season 7 has officially kicked off, and with Round 1 already in the books, we’re off to a strong and intriguing start. Let’s begin with some notable club transfers. Igebotz United made a bold move, buying their way into Division 2, while selling their Division 3 spot to FC Hampuz, who returns to BSFL after a short hiatus. Judging by their Round 1 performances, both clubs are back with purpose and clearly mean business.

This season is already breaking records, with 64 teams competing—our largest lineup yet and a testament to the continuous growth of the BSFL. These teams will battle it out across 4 divisions, the BSFL Cup, and LMS, all eyeing their share of a total prize pool worth $14,000 and over $3,500. Plenty to play for—so good luck, and may the best teams rise to the top!

Round 1 Recap

it was a fairly balanced start: no one went beyond 6 correct picks, but most players managed at least 3, keeping their LMS hopes alive. Now, let’s break it down division by division, as always.

Division 1 kicked off with a bang, and it’s clear some teams didn’t come to ease into the season—they came to dominate. Cls63 and strongkored led the charge, both posting 6 correct answers and securing confident wins. Not far behind, we had a pack of strong performers hitting 5 correct picks: cryptofrka, Renato297, buwaytress, Jinetics1111, and Harkorede all opened their campaigns with convincing victories. That’s a lot of teams hitting the ground running, and if Round 1 is anything to go by, Division 1 is going to demand top-tier performances every single week. There’s no room for slow starts here.

Division 2 opened at a slightly calmer pace, though there were still some standout performances. Hosemary led the way as the only team to notch 6 correct answers, grabbing an early statement win. Right behind were B1g4udge, Rikafip, Igebotz, and LFC_Bitcoin, all putting in solid 5-pick performances to kick off their campaigns. It’s still an impressive showing, but compared to the heavy artillery on display in Division 1, things were just a bit more measured here. That said, with a long season ahead, Division 2 is clearly warming up for a competitive run.

In Division 3, it was Spack17 who stole the spotlight, being the only one to hit 6 correct picks and take the early lead. Over in Division 4, that honor goes to newcomer Hyphen(-), who clearly wasted no time in making their presence known. With every division boasting at least one standout performer in Round 1, it’s safe to say the season is off to a lively and competitive start. Of course, it's still early days, so no point in discussing table placements just yet.

LMS

As always, we’ve kicked off the LMS competition with an initial 10 mBTC prize pool, which will gradually grow round by round thanks to those ever-popular buybacks. Round 1 was relatively mild, with just 15 out of 64 players dropping out—not a bad survival rate for the opening week. Given the low-stakes early buyback fee of just 0.25 mBTC, I fully expect a few of those brave souls to jump right back in and test their luck again. It’s still the early game, after all—and no one wants to miss out on the chance to chase that growing pot.
