Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 7 Starts - Round 3 Re-cap

Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League Season 7 Starts - Round 3 Re-cap

Round 3 brought the first real challenge of the season—many players found themselves stuck with just 1 or 2 correct answers, as the round proved trickier than expected. But naturally, that didn’t stop a few from charging ahead like nothing happened. Vd309 seems to be heating up at just the right time, pulling off an impressive 7 correct picks—nicely done! Interestingly, this was also the first round where a clear gap between divisions started to emerge. Division 1 teams showed a noticeably higher number of correct answers compared to the other three divisions. Looks like the top flight is starting to live up to its reputation.

Division 1 Recap

In addition to the standout performance from vd309, who cruised to a 7:4 win over cls63, a few more names made waves in Division 1 this round. Ulven and slaman29 both nailed 6 correct answers, earning solid 6:4 victories over leea-1334 and buwaytress, respectively. Meanwhile, notblox1 and Slissy each hit 5 and took full advantage of their opponents' off days to pad that all-important goal difference. With that, the unbeaten streaks are officially over—no more perfect records in the top flight. Slissy and jayce now share the top of the table with 7 points, but there’s a pack of teams right behind them sitting on 6. This one's shaping up to be a tight, no-room-for-error kind of season. Not that we expected anything else.

Division 2 Recap

Division 2 cooled off a bit this round, with fewer fireworks than we’ve seen so far. The standout performer was darxiaomi, pulling off a 5-correct-answer win over el che. Hosemary remains the only team with a perfect record after three rounds—though this week’s three points came by default, as jeremypwr was unfortunately sidelined by technical issues and couldn’t make the game. Hopefully, it’s a one-off, because forfeits can quickly derail a season. At the other end, kokee44 is still searching for his first point. Three rounds in with zero on the board—it’s not panic time yet, but those relegation whispers are starting to get louder. Time to shake it off and bounce back before the gap becomes a mountain.

Division 3 Recap

Division 3 is heating up with Dittoup and entebah standing tall as the last two teams with perfect records after three rounds. Entebah had to dig deep for his 4:3 win over HomieAllDay - a close match that could’ve gone either way, but that kind of gritty result often defines a strong season. Dittoup, on the other hand, took the easier path this time with a walkover win thanks to Spack17 no-showing—three points in the bag without breaking a sweat. Special mention goes to paco92x, who turned in an impressive performance with 6 correct answers. Even better, his opponent Hhampuz only managed 1, gifting paco92x a massive +5 goal difference boost in a single round. That kind of swing can be season-defining, especially in a tightly contested table.

Division 4 Recap

Dump3er was the one setting the bar in Division 4 with his 6 correct answers that were more than enough to dispatch General_Bitcoin and leave him on the top as the only team with perfect record. On the flip side, Woodie is unfortunately carving out a very different kind of record. With 0 correct answers this round, he's now the only team in the entire BSFL sitting on negative points. It’s been a tough start to the season, and unless something changes quickly, Woodie’s campaign might be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

LMS

A low-scoring round like this was always going to wreak havoc in the LMS competition—and it delivered. From 44 players at the start of Round 3, only 26 managed to survive, meaning we lost nearly 40% of the field in just one round. Brutal stuff, but that’s what makes LMS so unforgiving and thrilling. At the top, Slissy and cls63 are setting the pace with 16 correct answers each, averaging over 5 correct picks per round, which is no small feat considering the chaos of Round 3. Well done to both—consistency is key in LMS, and they’re showing it. The prize pool continues to grow and is now sitting at 11.25 mBTC, with more buy-backs expected after this bloodbath. We're still in the early stages, but it's clear this season’s LMS is shaping up to be a high-stakes rollercoaster once again.
