Gabriel Barbosa and Bruno Henrique: Both Up For Grabs

Gabigol spent one year on loan for Flamengo and he helped them win. Henrique is already owned by Flamengo, but he did so well in the past season that a lot of clubs want both of them in their roster.

West Ham would have to pay just £25 million in order to sign Gabriel Barbosa and Bruno Henrique. The Hammers scouted the talented Brazilian duo during Flamengo’s FIFA Club World Cup final against Liverpool.

Barbosa, 23, is owned by Inter Milan. He spent this past year on loan with Flamengo. He scored 36 goals for the Brazilian side. Henrique, 28, is owned by Flamengo, unlike Gabigol. He was also in great form this season, racking up 26 goals and nine assists in 46 outings.

The door might just be open for West Ham to swoop in and sign Gabriel Barbosa in January. It seems as though West Ham have just been given a boost in the race for Gabigol’s signature.

Italian website Calcio Mercato claims that Inter wants around €30 million (£25 million) for Barbosa, but Flamengo is only willing to pay around €20 million (£17 million).

Both players would be great additions to West Ham.

That Copa Libertadores final was so historical, but was it one of the most memorable matches?

The Hammers are extremely light in the attacking department. Sebastien Haller needs more support through the middle. More competition is required for the likes of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko in wide areas.

Barbosa is a natural finisher, and he would be perfect for Haller. Henrique, meanwhile, is a real talent and a constant menace on the flanks.

The Brazilian possesses pace in abundance, has an unreal technique and has the ability to unlock defences with a little bit of magic. West Ham cannot hesitate to move in for the South American.

Gabigol is open to the idea of moving to Europe, so the Hammers certainly have a chance of convincing the Inter ace to move to the London Stadium.

The lethal hitman would be an absolutely brilliant signing for West Ham, and would undoubtedly help get the best out of Sebastien Haller.

For just £25 million, the Hammers cannot afford to miss out on Barbosa. He could end up being one of the best signings the East London outfit have made in recent history if they do indeed manage to bring him to the club in January.

The South American duo would be excellent additions to the West Ham squad. If they do indeed have to pay just £25 million for the pair, it would have to be considered as an exceptional business for the East London club.

Hammers wants to sign the 23-year-old Brazilian in January.

Barbosa, commonly known as ‘Gabigol’, spent the last year on loan with Flamengo, and he has been on fire in Brazil, scoring 36 goals in 41 games.

West Ham is desperate for more firepower in the attacking department. The Inter Milan hitman would fit the bill perfectly. Barbosa could be available for just €22 million (£18.6 million) in January.

In today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for money for the East London club. They won’t have things all their own way, however. A lot of clubs want to sign the South American, including Crystal Palace, Schalke, Valladolid and Flamengo.

West Ham’s interest is real. If they do manage to sign Gabigol, he really would be an excellent addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s squad.

Unfortunately for West Ham, there is another club that wants to put Gabigol in their roster. Chelsea FC is also targeting to snatch the 23-year-old in January. They’ve already spent £150 million in January after having their transfer ban halved, and Frank Lampard has already been linked with a host of players.

There is a desire to sign a striker and winger at Stamford Bridge with a reported £34m bid for Moussa Dembele already having been rejected. Gabigol has emerged as a new target. In terms of a wideman, Jadon Sancho and Wilfried Zaha are shortlisted while left-back seems an area to improve with Ben Chilwell and David Alaba being considered.
