Imperial’s top performances of all time
Imperial has delivered amazing performances over the years and remains an active competitor. While they may not be favourites in S-tier tournaments, they have feats that make them a potential dark horse. Here are some standout moments that highlight why they have a strong chance of reaching the semi-finals in every event they join:
[CS2] ESL Challenger League Season 47: South America (1st place)
The ESL Challenger Season 47: South America is a domestic tournament that ran from February to June 2024. There were 16 teams in this competition, and Imperial Esports came out on top, securing its place as one of the top teams in the West.
During the regular season, Imperial Esports dominated the leaderboard standings with 23 wins and only five losses, scoring 340 rounds while conceding 180. This gives them a +160 round difference, a dominating record that RED Canids can’t contend with.
Imperial Esports faced a setback in the Playoffs, losing to RED Canids in the upper bracket finals. However, they swiftly bounced back to the Grand Finals after beating the 9z Team with a 2-0 sweep. Imperial won the tournament with an impressive 3-1 comeback versus RED Canids.
This victory affirmed their status as the top team in South America’s Counter-Strike esports scene and secured their qualification for the ESL Pro League Season 20, set to commence in September 2024. They also qualified for the ESL Challenger League Season 48 starting in July 2024.
[CS:GO] BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023 (3rd - 4th place)
The BLAST Premier: Spring Final is an S-tier tournament with 8 participants competing, held from June 7th to 11th, 2023. -
1,000 points: [CS:GO] BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown (1st place)
-
1,200 points: [CS:GO] BLAST Premier: Spring Final (3rd-4th place)

[CS2] PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 (12th - 14th place)
The PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 is one of the biggest tournaments in Counter-Strike esports, part of Valve’s Major Championship series. It featured 24 teams, with matches running from March 17th to 31st. Given the big roster, reaching at least 12th to 14th is still impressive.
The tournament started slowly for Imperial fans, as most Opening Stage opponents were underdogs, except for Heroic and Ecstatic. However, their highlight in this tournament is their Elimination stage win against Virtus.Pro, one of Europe’s most formidable teams. Imperial won 12-6 in an Inferno map.
[CS2] Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024 (2nd place)
Global Esports Tour Rio 2024 is an A-tier tournament held from April 18th to 20th with 8 participants. Among the invited teams are big favourites like OG and paiN Gaming, yet Imperial maintained their status in the upper bracket until the end.
Their standout moment came in the upper bracket final against paiN Gaming. Imperial was at a disadvantage in the Anubis, where they lost an 8-13 score, but they came back with a vengeance, scoring 13-6 in Nuke. The third round at the Overpass was intense, as they were neck and neck, but Imperial managed to win against paiN Gaming 13-10.
However, paiN Gaming won the lower bracket finals with a 2-0 sweep against MIBR. This led them to face off against Imperial at the Grand Finals, where they made a successful comeback. Despite Imperial’s strong showing at Inferno (13-6), paiN Gaming defeated them on Nuke (13-9) and Ancient (13-8).
Nevertheless, Imperial’s performance immediately following the tournament secured them a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 19. This event shows Imperial’s standing as a strong A-tier competitor under VINI’s leadership.
