    Asian Handicap

Ordinarily when you place a bet on soccer results, you’d choose between win, lose or draw. When it comes to full time results, Asian handicaps remove the possibility of a draw. You have two betting options, home or away. We then assign a weighted “handicap” that gives the underdog an advantage and the favourite a handicap.

There are different types of Asian handicap bets ranging from quarter goal to whole goal. These give you an idea of the team advantage over one another but also tell you how your bet is being placed. The result and handicap bet could mean winning your bet entirely, getting your entire stake refunded (Push), winning half and getting half your stake refunded (Half Win), losing half of your stake and the other half refunded (Half Lose) or losing.

The Asian Handicap will appear on site like this:

Below are some examples of each type of Asian Handicap along with the scenarios of what would have happened with your bet depending on the different possible outcomes.

    Asian Handicap 0.75
If you see this displayed, the game starts with the score of 0.75 (3/4 goal handicap). The underdog team has the advantage of a three-quarter goal.
Example - West Ham United +0.75 Vs Manchester United -0.75

You bet on West Ham United to win with +0.75 Handicap.

    • If West Ham United win, you win the bet
    • If the match ends in a draw, you win the bet due to the 0.75 goal advantage
    • If Manchester United win the game by one goal, you lose half of your stake and the other half is returned (Half Lose)
    • If Manchester United win the game by two or more goals the bet is a losing bet

Alternatively, you bet on Manchester United to win with -0.75 Handicap.

    • If Manchester United lose, you lose the bet
    • If the match ends in a draw, you lose the bet due to the 0.75 handicap
    • If Manchester United win the game by one goal, you get half of your stake returned and the other half paid out at the stated odds (Half Win)
    • If Manchester United win the game by two or more goals you win the bet

    Asian Handicap -1
In this case, the favourite starts with a single goal handicap. Due to it being a ‘whole’ goal disadvantage there is a possibility of having your whole stake refunded (see example below):
Example - Real Madrid -1 Vs Atletico Madrid +1

You bet on Real Madrid to win with -1 Handicap.

    • If Real Madrid win by two or more goals, you win the bet (as the -1 handicap has been covered)
    • If Real Madrid win the game by one goal, your stake is returned
    • If the game is a draw, you lose the bet
    • If Atletico Madrid win, you lose the bet

Alternatively, you bet on Atletico Madrid to win with +1 Handicap.

    • If Atletico Madrid win, you win the bet
    • If the match ends in a draw, you win the bet due to the one goal advantage
    • If Atletico Madrid lose by a single goal, you get your stake back (this negates the one goal advantage that was assigned)
    • If Real Madrid win by two goals or more, you lose the bet (they have covered the one goal advantage)

    Asian Handicap 0.25
With this Handicap Value, the underdog team has a quarter goal advantage:
Example - Bayer Leverkusen +0.25 Vs Borussia Dortmund -0.25

You bet on Bayer Leverkusen to win with +0.25 Handicap.

    • If Borussia Dortmund win the game, you lose the bet
    • If the match ends in a draw, your 0.25 advantage means you get half of your stake returned and the other half paid out at the stated odds (Half Win)
    • If Bayer Leverkusen win, you win the bet

Alternatively, you bet on Borussia Dortmund to win with -0.25 Handicap.

    • If Borussia Dortmund win, you win the bet
    • If the match ends in a draw, you -0.25 disadvantage means you lose half of your stake and the other half is returned to you (Half Lose)
    • If Bayer Leverkusen win, you lose the bet

    Asian Handicap 0.5
With this Handicap Value the underdog starts with a half goal advantage. Betting on this value removes the possibility of stakes (or part of stakes) being returned:
    Example - Chelsea +0.5 Vs Liverpool -0.5

You bet on Chelsea to win with 0.5 Handicap.

    • If Chelsea wins, you win the bet
    • If the match ends in a draw, you win the bet due to the 0.5 advantage
    • If Liverpool win, you lose the bet

Alternatively, you bet on Liverpool to win with -0.5 Handicap

    • If Liverpool win, you win the bet
    • If the match ends in a draw, you lose the bet due to the -0.5 handicap
    • If Chelsea Win, you lose the bet

    Additional Information on Asian Handicap
Occasionally the match will be competitive enough to have a ‘0’ value handicap. The is effectively the same market as ‘Draw no Bet’ where picking either team to win will result in your bet winning if the result going your way. In the event of a draw your entire stake will be refunded.
You may also see ‘bigger’ values assigned in some matches such as 1.75, 2.25 etc. These are still quarter and three quarter values and the favourite/underdog have been simply assigned a bigger handicap/advantage. The principle of how these outcomes work is the same as the one’s given in the above examples.

6.3.1. The deduction rate shall be applied to the face value of the bet.

6.4. In the event that multiple runners are scratched from a race, a combined deduction rate shall be calculated by summing the total of the individual deduction rates as calculated in accordance with the applicable Schedule of Deductions listed herein.

    6.5. Schedule of Deductions:

    7. WIN LIMITS

7.1. All amounts are expressed in EURO max payout = 250,000 Euros per day.

7.2. The win limit is the maximum amount that can be won by one player (i.e. player return less player bet cost) per bet type, per race, for all winning bets. This means that losing bets are not considered when determining the player's maximum win. For PLACE bet win limits, the win limit is the maximum amount that can be won on each place-getter, per race, per player.

7.3. A player will be deemed to be any one individual, or entity, or group deemed to be acting on behalf of any one individual, or entity, or group.

7.4. The win limits stipulated herein include all winnings derived from wagers placed by the player on each bet type, per race (or per individual place-getter in the case of PLACE bets), regardless of whether the bet is included as an element of a multiple, a group of multiples, or as a single wager.

7.5. It is the responsibility of each account holder to be aware of the limits expressed herein, and we shall not be in any way responsible for communicating such limits in any other form or via any other medium at the time that the wager(s) is placed.

7.6. The limits stipulated herein are open to upwards negotiation at our sole discretion. Any player requesting a review of these limits, must apply in writing to us and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the win limit increase application process.

7.7. Without prior negotiation, the maximum win payable to any one player, per bet type (or per individual placegetter in the case of PLACE bets), per race, for all winning bets, shall be limited to:

7.8. On any bet type in any location, the payout will not exceed the pool amount for that bet type at the nominated Tote. If the nominated Tote doesn't offer the selected bet type or there is no nominated Tote, the Victorian Tote declared pool and dividend will apply, subject to our maximum betting payouts. If there is no Victorian Tote pool then the Queensland Tote declared pool size will apply, subject to our maximum betting payouts. Where the player's stake is larger than the pool size, the player will receive their stake back rather than the pool.

7.9. When one or more Totes declare a dividend based on a commission deduction (take out) lower than the standard rate, we may determine this (at our discretion) as: The higher of the remaining Totes.

7.10. If specific betting limits have been prescribed to a player account, the maximum payout for each leg of a multi-bet (all up), where the players betting limit would normally be applied for a Win bet, will be paid at the prescribed win limit or $2,000 whichever is less.

    8. BETTING TIMES

8.1. For Ante-Post betting, betting shall cease at the declaration of the final field.

8.2. For all betting post the declaration of the final field, we shall reserve the right to close betting times as follows:

8.2.1. Win and Place betting, up to one (5) minute prior to the official start time of the race.

8.2.2. Quinella, Forecast, Exacta, Trifecta, & First Four betting, up to four (5) minutes prior to the official start time of the race.

8.2.3. The availability of each level of discount may vary at any time before the commencement of the race. Discount levels on a particular horse or combination may differ to the remaining horses or combinations.

9.1. We publish a number of features for the enjoyment of its players. These features are indicative only and whilst we endeavor to provide true and accurate information, we take no responsibility as to the accuracy and validity of the information contained therein. Players should, therefore, make their own informed choice as to the utilization of this information and/or features. This includes, but is not limited to:

    9.1.1. Horse Form information;

    9.1.2. Horse, Jockey and Trainer information;

    9.1.3. Barrier draw;

    9.1.4. Weather and track conditions;

    9.1.5. Arrow indicators; and

    9.1.6. Favourite indicators.

9.2. Whilst we offer a variety of information identifying a horse or greyhound in a race, including but not limited to name translations, bets shall be deemed to be placed and therefore settled, based on the official saddlecloth number only. For UK greyhound racing, bets will be settled based on the box or trap number only.

    10.RULES JURISDICTIONS

10.1. The rules of horse racing in the local jurisdiction will govern settlement and shall be used to resolve any settlement of disputes.

    11.FAVOURITE VS THE FIELD

11.1. 'Favourite Versus the Field' bets are available on selected races. The designated favourite in the Favourite versus the Field is the favourite nominated by us and may not necessarily be the prevailing favourite.

11.2. If the nominated favourite is scratched then all wagers are void and will be refunded. "The field" comprises all other runners apart from the nominated favourite. If there is a scratching from "The Field", then all bets stand, but are subject to deductions as directed by stewards. In the event of a dead heat, the Dead Heat rule applies.

11.3. The price may be fixed. If there is a * next to the price, this indicates that the price is subject to change or yet to be determined.

    12.FRENCH RACING

12.1. For all French racing, the starting price is the last fixed odds offered by us on that race. If we do not offer fixed odds on that race, the starting price is the official dividend declared by the PMU (available at www.pmu.fr).

    13.USA RACING FIXED ODDS

13.1. For all USA racing where fixed pricing is offered, the starting price is the last fixed odds offered by us on that race. If we do not offer fixed odds on that race, the final dividend will be paid based on the US Tote dividend provided by EasyGate.

    Dead Heat Rule

A Dead Heat occurs when 2 or more selections are placed in the same position after the final results have been given from a specific event.

If Sportsbet.io have not offered the "Draw" or "Dead Heat" (may have a different name) selection for a specific event where there has been a Dead Heat. Sportsbet.io will pay the face value of the ticket (initial stake including the full payout). This will be divided by the number of selections that were in a draw for that selection.

If Each Way betting is available on an event where Sportsbet.io have not offered the "Draw" or "Dead Heat" (may have a different name) selection, and there has been selections that have finished in the same position, Sportsbet.io will pay the place portion of the tickets face value and multiply that by the remaining number of places available divided by the number of the selections who came in the same position.

If Sportsbet.io have offered the "Draw" or "Dead Heat" (may have a different name) selection and there has been a draw in the event, then all Win/Place wagers are losers and the "Draw" selection is the winning wager.

  47. Fantasy
  48. Fantasy is a daily and weekly fantasy sports platform, where members pay to play in contests against their friends and the wider Fantasy community. Members select their ultimate fantasy team for either a full weekend of games (eg, All of round), or just for one day (eg, Super Saturday).

Members have a broad range of contest sizes to choose from, from 2 participants to 1000’s of participants in size.Members also have a broad range of entry fee’s available, check in the end for minimum bets in all currencies.

You can pick an opponent or opponents from the lobby page, or challenge your friends via email, Facebook or Twitter. If you invite numerous friends to play, the first friend to submit their team will be your opponent. If none of your friends accept your challenge, Fantasy will automatically match you to another member. So your friends have time to accept your challenge remember to uncheck the ‘Public Entry’ box on the line-up selection screen. This keeps your contest from appearing as a public entry.

All members who have entered a contest will be shown as a ‘entries’ in that contest. This can be seen in the ‘enter contest’ screens.

Once the games have been played, the players accumulate their fantasy points, scores, and the contest is complete, whoever picked the best performing combination of players, wins the prize pool.

Before the start of a contest, run all head to head entries through a matching process this results in most entries being matched up. Once contests of 3 or more players reach 50% filled the contest will run. Any contests which does not reach 50% filled will not run and entry fees will be refunded. One exception to this is guaranteed tournaments. They will run regardless of how many members enter.

Multi-person leagues will proceed if entries reach 50% of the contest size. The total prize pool will adjust as per the number of actual entries in the contest. The number of prize winners and the percentage of the prize pool allocated to each winner will remain the same. One exception to this is large tournaments. Prize pool and contest are usually guaranteed for large tournaments regardless of how many members enter.

You have multiple game types to select from. You can go head to head against other members and friends; you can create your own contests for 3 - 50 participants; or you can enter larger Fantasy contests of 50 to 1000’s of participants. It’s entirely up to how much you want to spend week to week and prizes you go after!

Players are given a virtual salary cap based on a combination of their season long performances (or previous season performances for the commencement of season), and their recent form.

For any contest you have entered, you have up until nearing the start of the first game for that contest to edit your team. You can do this through upcoming contests, select the contest in question and then edit your team.Once the contest is ‘locked’ (ie, the first match for that contest is due to commence), then no further editing of your team can be done.

Contests are locked down for editing a short period of time prior to the commencement of the first game of the contest. Once lockdown has occurred, no further edits can be made.

Line-ups can be edited as many times as you want until the start of a contest. You can view your contest line-ups in the Upcoming tab in the navigation menu. Once a contest start your selections will be locked in and cannot be edited and your opponent’s line-up will now be visible.

Fantasy aims to finalise a contest and prize allocations as soon as it receives a final score summary from its data providers. Fantasy will apply its own verification of these results, and once satisfied will consider a contest final and prizes allocated.

Should Fantasy consider any results invalid, it will investigate in full prior to considering a contest final.

Fantasy sources its player performance data from Champion Data, Opta, Prozone, and Stats.com. Champion Data, Opta, Prozone, and Stats.com provide Fantasy with regular updates on the ‘actions’ of players, which Fantasy then applies its scoring against. For example, Player X performs action Y which results in Z points. This is based on real life performances of these players in the context of the game they are playing in.

All contests you have entered that have not yet commenced can be viewed in upcoming contests and all completed contests can be viewed in contest history. You can also see all transactions, including contests entered, prizes won, deposits made and withdrawals made, in your transaction details.

    How are the prizes allocated?

    Head to head
    Winner takes all

User created leagues (by participant size)

3 – 10: either the top 2 finishers, or winner takes all

11 – 20: either top 3 finishers, or winner takes all

21 – 30: either top 4 finishers, or winner takes all

31 – 50: either top 5 finishers, or winner takes all

    System created leagues

Prizes in system created leagues are allocated as per the prize conditions set out in each contest. For a detailed breakdown on Prize Payouts for a contest, see the “Prizes” tab in both the “Rules, Scoring & Prizes” section of that contest or in the pop-up window accessed by clicking the contest name in the lobby.

If two or more finishers share the same ranking, they then share equally the distribution of prizes that would have been applied to them had they been consecutively ranked.

You can also see all transactions, including contests entered, prizes won, deposits made and withdrawals made, in your transaction details.

Abandoned, Postponed, Suspended & Cancelled Fixtures

For all sports except MLB, where any of the fixtures within a contest are cancelled, postponed or abandoned without an official result all bets are considered void and the entry amounts are returned to the members. There is no prize/winnings payouts for these voided contests.

Abandoned, Postponed, Suspended & Cancelled Fixtures for MLB

In the event that 75% or more of the fixtures for a contest go ahead on the scheduled day (are not postponed, abandoned or cancelled) the contest will go ahead and proceed as normal. Players participating in any game that is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled to another match day will not accrue points and will subsequently receive a score of 0.

In the case that less than 75% of the fixtures for a contest go ahead on the scheduled day, the contest is considered void and the entry fees are returned to the member in full.

    For example:
For a 6 fixture contest, 2 fixtures are postponed to another day. This means only 66.67% of the games went ahead for that contest slate, so the contest would be considered void and all entry fees returned to members.

For a 8 fixture contest, 2 fixtures are postponed to another day. This means exactly 75% of the games went ahead for that contest slate, so the contest would proceed as normal with players in the 2 postponed games receiving a score of 0.

For a 10 fixture contest, 2 fixtures are postponed to another day. This means 80% of the games went ahead for that contest slate, so the contest would proceed as normal with players in the 2 postponed games receiving a score of 0.
